Vietnamese translation service

We translate over 80 language combination, including Vietnamese to English and English to Vietnamese. In fact, English to Vietnamese translations are among our top 14 requested language services. Our Vietnamese translation service is engaged by Government agencies, businesses and individuals across Australia and worldwide.

The Vietnamese language has over 85 Million speakers worldwide, comprising 86% of the Vietnamese population, in addition to communities around the world, including the United States, Cambodia, Laos, France and Australia. According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics' 2006 census, Vietnamese is the sixth most commonly spoken language in Australian homes. Today’s Vietnamese writing is based upon the Latin alphabet, with the inclusion of diacritics to represent tone and certain letters. Vietnamese is a relatively modern language, only becoming Vietnam’s official language of communication following their independence from French colonial rule. Although there are some minor variations in vocabulary between north and south Vietnam, the written language is standardised and as such is understood by all Vietnamese.

We have at your disposal a team of highly qualified, experienced and specialised Vietnamese translators. We offer a comprehensive Vietnamese translation service, covering a variety of specialist fields, including scientific, technical, legal, commercial/promotional, etc. We also offer typesetting and printing services, for brochures, Power Point Presentations and other professionally produced materials.

Our Vietnamese translators are located both in Australia and overseas. We assign projects to Vietnamese translators according to key factors such as accreditation, area of expertise and the translator’s country of residence, which is particularly important for commercial/promotional translations. We ensure that a Vietnamese translation will read as well, or even better than the source document by carefully assigning the most appropriate translators to the project; fluency in the latest cultural and business terminology for your target audience is essential. Our Vietnamese translators hold current membership of organizations associations such as AUSIT. For translations requiring certification within Australia, we utilize translators credentialed by NAATI. Furthermore, all of our Vietnamese translations undergo proofreading to ensure accuracy.

Vietnamese to English and English to Vietnamese typesetting considerations

When translating from one language to another, the volume of text will either increase or decrease. This expansion and contraction will vary depending upon subject matter. English to Vietnamese translation often results in a 15-20% increase in text. Accordingly, Vietnamese to English translation will decrease the volume of text by approximately 15-20%. This is, of course, a general rule, but should be factored in when preparing copy which will be typeset following translation. There are no other significant typesetting considerations to be made when preparing copy for translation from Vietnamese to English or English to Vietnamese
